WHAT IS CLRA?
CLRA stands
for Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 in India.
This act was enacted to regulate the employment of contract labor in certain
establishments and to provide for its abolition in specific situations. The aim
of the law is to protect contract laborers from exploitation and ensure their
rights in establishments where they are employed.

contractor, and the contractor who provides the labor.
MAJOR PROVISIONS OF THE CLRA ACT
