ISO 20318-1:2019 is an international standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that specifies the classification, dimensions, quality, and test methods for hand-held mechanical pencils used for general writing. It also applies to multi-function pens with a mechanical pencil unit. The standard does not apply to pencils attached to machinery instruments like plotters.
