ISO 6698:1989 is an International Standard that specifies the screw thread profile and limits/tolerances for threads used to assemble freewheels on bicycle hubs. It's based on the ISO basic thread profile, the British Standard Cycle thread (B.S.C.), and ISO thread tolerances and positions. The standard also uses gauges conforming to ISO 1502.
