ISO 4081:2016 is an international standard that specifies the requirements for rubber hoses and tubing used in the cooling systems of internal combustion engines for vehicles with a maximum unladen mass of 3.5 tons. It covers both straight and pre-formed hoses, specifying the materials and performance characteristics necessary for their use in pressurized or unpressurized cooling circuits containing 1,2-ethanediol-based coolants.
