ISO 9487:1991 is an international standard that defines a method for measuring vaporous aromatic hydrocarbons in workplace air using a charcoal tube/solvent desorption/gas chromatographic method. The standard was initially published in 1991 and confirmed in 2019. It specifies how to measure airborne vapor concentrations within the range of 1 mg/m³ to 1000 mg/m³ when sampling 10 liters of air.
