ISO 24103:2009 defines the Media Adapted Interface Layer (MAIL) for using Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC) with an Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) application layer as a Communication Access for Land Mobiles (CALM) medium for Internet Protocol (IP) communications in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). In essence, it specifies how DSRC, a type of short-range radio
