ISO/TS 21719-1:2018 is an international standard that focuses on the performance and testing of partially automated in-lane driving systems (PADS). It specifies requirements for basic control strategies, minimum functionalities, driver interfaces, and failure reactions for PADS used in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and buses. The standard does not apply to automated driving systems of level 3 or higher.
