ISO 16526-2:2011 is an international standard that specifies a constancy check method for X-ray systems, primarily focusing on the tube voltage, tube current, and target material's characteristics. This method, known as the "thick filter method," relies on measuring the dose rate behind a thick filter to assess the X-ray system's performance. It is applicable to all X-ray systems and is used when the voltage divider method is not suitable.
