ISO 11203:1995 is an international standard that provides methods for determining the emission sound pressure levels of machinery and equipment at a work station or other specified positions. It allows for comparing the sound power of different units of a given family of machinery under specific conditions. The data obtained can also be used for declaring and verifying emission sound pressure levels, as specified in ISO 4871.
