ISO 6416:2017 is an international standard that provides guidance for measuring discharge (the amount of water flowing) in open channels and rivers using the ultrasonic transit time method, also known as the time-of-flight method. This standard focuses on continuous monitoring of discharge, particularly in open channels, and doesn't cover other ultrasonic techniques like Doppler shift or correlation.
