ISO 18481:2017 is an international standard that specifies a method for measuring liquid flow in open channels using the end depth method in channels with a free overfall. It is focused on estimating flow in clear water, particularly in smooth, essentially horizontal (or gently sloping) channels that end abruptly with a hydraulic structure and vertical drop.
