ISO 4832:2006 is an International Standard that provides guidelines for enumerating coliforms in food and animal feeding stuffs, using a colony-count technique. It's applicable to products intended for human consumption and animal feeding, as well as environmental samples from food production and handling areas. The standard specifies incubating samples on a solid medium at 30°C or 37°C and counting the resulting colonies.
