ISO 6888-1:2021 is an international standard that provides a method for counting coagulase-positive staphylococci, including Staphylococcus aureus and other species, in food and feed samples. This method is applicable to various products, including those intended for human consumption, animal feeding, environmental samples in food and feed production areas, and samples from primary production stages. The standard specifies a horizontal method using Baird-Parker agar medium for the enumeration of these microorganisms.
