ISO 19020:2017 is an international standard that defines a method for screening staphylococcal enterotoxins (SEs) in foodstuffs. It's specifically designed to detect SEs, including SEA, SEB, SECs, SED, and SEE, which can cause food poisoning. The standard involves two main steps: extraction and concentration of the SEs, followed by an immunoenzymatic detection method using commercially available kits.
