ISO 17842-1 provides the requirements and testing procedures for non-reclosable child-resistant packaging. This standard is aimed at ensuring packaging for certain products is designed in a way that prevents young children from opening it while being accessible to adults. This standard applies to packaging that does not need to be reclosed after it is opened (as opposed to reclosable packaging, which can be resealed multiple times).
